Outline of the Practice

Avon Lodge Veterinary Group has been committed to providing a high standard of 24-hour veterinary care for animals for over 45 years.

We are an exclusive small animal practice operating from three practices; Stratford Road Salisbury (our main centre), Flower Lane Amesbury and West Street Wilton. We employ 34 staff in five teams, veterinary, nursing, reception, administration and laboratory.

Meet the team

The team is headed by the partners Kevin Watts and Guy Wolverson.

Kevin is mainly based at our Amesbury surgery. Kevin has a certificate in Dermatology and sees both internal and external referrals.

Guy is based at our main surgery in Salisbury. He has an interest in cardiology and medical cases.

Working alongside the two partners we have the veterinary assistants.

Sarah Webb is studying towards her surgical certificate and is supported by Jane Oatley an independent orthopaedic surgeon.

Jo Dyer, holds a European certificate in veterinary medicine, she works at our Wilton and Salisbury surgeries.

Jackie Doyle is based at our Salisbury branch looking after our in-patients and operating alongside Sarah.

Matthew Plummer, Sarah Mitchell and Non Evans locum for the practice throughout the year to cover holiday and CPD.

Our nurses are an integral part of our veterinary team. The team of 9 nurses, headed by Sharon Collins, provide a very high standard of care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Working on a rota system covering days, nights and weekends where they are responsible for the care of day and inpatients, medications, telephone advice and emergency nursing.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of receptionists and office staff who support the medical team and allow efficient running of the Practice.

We also have a well equipped laboratory on site at our Salisbury branch, which is run by our full time laboratory technician.
